The Philadelphia office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is asking for help identifying a male who may have “critical information pertaining to the identity of a child victim in a sexual exploitation investigation,” according to a recent media release from the agency.
The male is seen in a video. Embedded data in the video files indicate the files likely were made before November 2018, according to the media release.
The male is seen wearing a navy blue T-shirt. He is described as white with light bright brown hair. Investigators refer to the male as JohnDoe44. He is sought as part of the FBI’s Operation Rescue Me and Endangered Child Alert Program, partnerships between the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Operation Rescue Me focuses on using clues obtained through image analysis to identify the child victims depicted in child exploitation material.
ECAP targets unknown adults, referred to as John/Jane Does, who display their faces and/or other distinguishing characteristics in association with child pornography images.
