Marie Stubits, 94, of Sanford, N.C., and formerly of Bath, died July 12, 2021, at SECU Jim and Betsy Bryan UNC Hospice Home, Pittsboro, N.C. She was the wife of the late Stephen L. Stubits.

Born in Bath, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Florence (Braker) Marsh.

She worked for more than 25 years in the textile industry. She was last employed by the former Mary Fashions, Bath, for 14 years before retiring in 1994.

She was a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bath.

She was a former member of the Northampton/Bath AARP. After moving to North Carolina, she became an honorary member of the Sanford Lions Club where she assisted with the Community Days Fair for years.

She is survived by a son, Glenn D. and his wife Crystal of Sanford, N.C.; a daughter, Jacqueline F. and her husband Robert Parker of Jefferson Township; three grandchildren, Wendy, Holly and Stephanie; five great-grandchildren, Christopher, Nathan, Hope, Jolie and Aidan; two great-great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Carson; nieces; and nephews.
