John Paul Salvatore, 67, of Whitehall, died July 17, 2021, in the inpatient hospice unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Teresa (Berkhout) for 38 years.

Born in New York City, he was a son of the late Eugene and Mary (Gemarro) Salvatore.

He was a registered nurse for 40 years. He worked most recently in the electrophysiology lab at Temple University Hospital.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Whitehall.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, John and his wife Stephanie, Diana Napolillo and her husband John-Severin, Gina Mary Joyce and her husband Christopher, Rebecca and Adam; four grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, Lorenzo and Julian; a brother, Eugene; two sisters, Linda Marotto and Cheryl Reid; nieces; and nephews.

There will be calling times 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. July 22 at the funeral home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. There will be a Mass of Christian burial 10:30 a.m. July 23 at the church, 4102 S. Church St., Whitehall.
