George A. Wirth Jr., 86, of Whitehall, died July 14, 2021, at home. He was the husband of Marguerite E. (Platzer) Wirth.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late George A. Sr. and Stella (Bauer) Wirth.

He was a cutter in the garment industry until he retired in 1990.

He was a musician in the Lehigh Valley area.

He was a volunteer for the Lehigh Valley Health Network Amputee Support Group.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Paul and his wife Linda Lapos of Allentown and George and his wife Suzanne and John and his wife Beata, all of Whitehall; a sister, Victoria Faust of Allentown; a brother, Ronald of Bethlehem; six grandchildren, Adriane Wirth, Jennifer Rodriguez, Nichole McCowen, Mathew Wirth, Daniel Wirth and Marie Miller; 16 great-grandchildren, Andrew Kalmar, Gabriel Wirth, Aubrey Wirth, Hannah Wirth, Gunther Wirth, Theresa Kleibscheidel, Jonathan Kleibscheidel, Jameson Kleibscheidel, Lana Stufflet, Braden Miller, Brody McCowan, Brooke McCowan, Callan McCowan, Delaney McCowan, Sebastian Rodriquez and Cecilia Rodriquez.

He was predeceased by three siblings, Dennis of Seizholtzville, Joseph and Dolores, both of Allentown; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Kleibscheidel.

There will be a visitation 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m., July 23 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., Whitehall, 18052.
