Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293, 5209 Springmill Road, Egypt, is hosting a concert by the band Dirty Roxx 5 p.m. July 24.

Dirty Roxx plays classic 1980s rock music. The concert is open to the public.

Laurel Fire Company, 5114 Third St., Cementon, will be holding a Christmas in July party for members 6-11 p.m. July 24.

The event will include a deejay, karaoke, games and more.

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church will hold its annual church picnic July 25 at Egypt Memorial Park, 4548 Main St.

A church service will be held 10:15 a.m. at the park, followed by the picnic, starting noon.

The church will provide hot dogs and chips. You are asked to provide side dishes and chairs for your family.

Are your closets, drawers and storage areas overcrowded? Good news! The youth group at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church has resumed its clothing drive.

The group is collecting new or gently used men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, shoes, purses, belts, bed and bath linens, stuffed animals and bikes in working condition.

All items should be bagged or boxed and taken to the church. Please put any shoes in separate bags.

Registration for fall 2021 baseball and softball at Egypt Memorial Park is open now through Aug. 31.

The season will run through Oct. 31.

Youth ages 6-18 may be registered at egyptpark.org.

Egypt Community Church, 4129 S. Church St., will hold its Discovering Jesus Vacation Bible School program 6-8:30 p.m. August 2-6.

Registration is open to children ages 5 through grade 5 at egyptcc.org.

Whitehall Fire Station 39, 4099 Kuhn Lane, is accepting applications for volunteers ages 16 and over.

Station 39 serves the villages of Egypt, Cementon, Hokendauqua and Stiles. The stat may also be called to other areas of Whitehall Township, North and South Whitehall townships and parts of Northampton County.

You are invited to contact Station 39 to visit the firehouse or schedule a ride-along. Station 39 welcomes you to stop by the firehouse 7 p.m. Mondays.
