Catty Seniors Plus will hold its next monthly meeting July 28 at Slovak Center Social Club, Fifth and Grove streets, North Catasauqua. Note: The date of the meeting was incorrect in last week’s edition.

Doors open noon, and the meeting starts 1 p.m.

Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., will begin opening 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays in August.

The current shop hours are 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Mondays-Fridays.

Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 320 Second St., will be holding a cornhole tournament Sept. 11. Check-in is 11 a.m., and the event starts noon.

There is an admission fee for teams, as well as spectators.

There will be eight groups of six teams. The top three teams from each group enter the double-elimination tournament. There will be cash prizes for the top four teams.

There will be free food and beer throughout the day, as well as a cash bar for spirits and mixed drinks.

Each player will receive a complimentary T-shirt.
