Join the American Swedish Historical Museum for a virtual program 11 a.m. July 29 to discover the magic and mystery of Scandinavian wildlife as part of our Tails and Tales summer reading program.
We’ll discuss the relationship between the Scandinavian people and the indigenous wildlife throughout history. Learn about the animals through folk art, tales, tradition and conservation.
We’ll explore the world of Swedish fauna - from Dala horses and enchanted creatures to the national animal, the moose. Learn about animal tracks and facts while we create our own interpretation of traditional crafts.
Request the Zoom link by emailing Ms. Santaliz at santaliz.l@whitehallpl.org. The program is limited to 30 kids, so be sure to request the link early.

As we move toward a new normal after the pandemic, we will follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines to keep our staff and patrons safe.
Patrons who are not fully vaccinated are required to wear masks and have them in place while on library grounds. Maintain social distancing by putting at least 6 feet of space between yourself and others.
Patrons should sanitize their hands upon arrival at the library. There are three hand-sanitizing stations in the library.
For the safety of all, we ask people who feel ill not to come inside the library. Patrons who are visibly sick or coughing/sneezing excessively will be asked to leave.

The current library hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays-Saturdays.
We will continue curbside pickup until the end of December.
Patrons may come inside the library for one hour to browse the collection, select items to check out and use our copier. You can come in for two hours a day to use the public computers, which you’ll sign up for at the front desk.
