Joseph J. Malkowicz
Joseph J. Malkowicz, 78, of Kempton, died July 7, 2021, in Lehigh Commons, Lower Macungie Township.
The husband of Adrienne A. (Nowicki) Malkowicz, she was the love of his life for 54 years.
Born Jan. 3, 1943, in Elmwood Park, N.J., he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Popick) Malkowicz.
A customer service representative in the plumbing department for 15 years at The Home Depot, Allentown South, he retired in 2015.
Before that, he was a plant supervisor at American National Can, Fogelsville, for 27 years.
He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.
He enjoyed hunting with his friends, playing golf and fishing, especially on the surf at the Jersey shore, where he spent many summers with his family.
Always having a story to tell, he adored watching his grandchildren grow and the joy they brought to him.
He will be forever remembered for his keen sense of humor and the warm smile he shared with everyone he met.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by sons Anthony Italiano of Allentown, Christopher Joseph Malkowicz of Northampton, Peter Malkowicz of Fogelsville; son-in-law David P. Gregoire of New Tripoli; brother Matthew Malkowicz of Mendham, N.J.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Kim Ellen Gregoire.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. July 24 in Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Msgr. Joseph P.T. Smith officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects 12:30-1:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service at St. Paul’s Seiberlingsville Cemetery, Kempton.
