Walter “Walt” F. Neely Jr., 88, of Macungie, died July 9, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Margaret A. (Myers) Neely. They celebrated 68 years of marriage. Born in Berkeley Springs, W. Va., he was the son of the late Walter F. Sr. and E. Agnes (Fleece) Neely.

He served in the U.S. Army and was employed in the cement manufacturing industry for many years as a chemical engineer.

He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Julie McFerron (John), Melissa Neely-Tellier (Dave), Karen, Nancy Seay (Norman); grandchildren, Dr. Brian and Dr. Ashley McFerron, Ainsley and Kyle Tellier and Paige Seay; great-grandchildren, Benjamin McFerron and Dez Brittner; siblings, Wilma Meyers, Shirley Weber, Carolyn Faith and Dennis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. July 16 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus, 18049. A viewing will be held 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 15 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus.
