Douglas C. Bast, of Coplay, died July 3, 2021. He was the son of Gary and Deborah Bast.

He was a graduate of Salisbury High School and Penn State University.

He was an avid musician and percussionist. He was an active member of marching band, indoor drumline and was section leader of the tenor drumline in the Penn State Blue Band.

He was happiest with a pair of drumsticks in hand and will be remembered for his quiet sense of humor.

He is survived by his parents; a twin sister, Robin.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Edward J. Hildenbrand Funeral Home, Inc., Kutztown is in charge of arrangements.
