Carol A. Peters, 70, of Walnutport, died peacefully July 4, 2021, in her home.
She and her husband, Larry W. Peters, were married 45 years.
Born Jan. 11, 1951, in New Tripoli, she was the daughter of the late Harold J. and Rachel P. (Bennicoff) Billig.
A 1971 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, she was a line operator at Kraft Foods, formerly in Fogelsville, for 35 years.
She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryville.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by a daughter, Jennifer A., wife of Jarod Knouss of Slatington; son Michael W. Peters and his wife, Marybeth Griffaton, at home; stepdaughter Brandy E. Peters of Walnutport; stepmother Joanne L. (Mutchler) Billig; siblings Florence L. Pail (John), David D. Billig (Sandy), Diane M. Cichonski (Charlie), Donald W. Billig (Julann), Judith M. Friedman (Tom), Douglas E. Billig (Jane), and Sherri L. Confalone (Daniel); brother-in-law Clarence Burkhard; grandchildren Mason, Drayden, Jarod Jr., Evan, Ava, Avery; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by siblings Barbara M. Burkhard, Harold G. Billig; and beloved pets Bruno and Butch.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. July 8 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309. Schnecksville, with the Rev. Jami L. Possinger officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects noon-1:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Jerusalem “Red” Church Cemetery, Kempton.
