Yoder School bell returned to former elementary school

The Upper Milford Historical Society hosted a school bell dedication event June 15 with approximately 40 people in attendance. The current township building, 5671 Chestnut St., Old Zionsville, once served the Upper Milford Township community as an elementary school. Donated by Millidine and Harry Waterman, the bell is now displayed facing the parking lot entrance to the building. Interim President John Fegley opened the event. Historian and Archivist Neil Moser gave some history of the bell and the Yoder School and passed around photos. Members of the Yoder and Waterman families were given the opportunity to ring the bell, which resonated loudly throughout the area.
