Saucon Valley photos sought

The Lower Saucon Township Historical Society invites amateur photographers to submit up to five different color photos they have taken of historic buildings in the Saucon Valley area.

Photos must be taken in the Saucon Valley area. Each photographer may enter a maximum of five color photographs.

Each entry should include a title, a description of the building location where the photo was taken and the name of photographer.

For example: “‘Spring house’ on Old Philadelphia Pike, LST, near Seidersville, by Jane Smith.”

The first place winner receives $350; second and third place receive $100 each.

Honorable mention entries receive $25 each.

First, second and third place winners will be exhibited on the historical society’s website, newsletter and social media.

Judges are Marco Calderon, commercial and lifestyle photographer; Michael Rosazza, graphic designer and Karen Samuels, historian. They will be looking for sharp focus, good composition, color, contrast, lighting and interesting subject.

Photos must be at least 300 dpi JPG/JPEG file.

Submit entries via email to lshistorical@gmail.com by Sept. 1.
