Northampton Area Public Library: Camp storytime planned for July 8

Camp storytime will be 6 p.m. July 8 and 22. This outdoor program is for independent readers.

Bring a blanket, flashlight and book for reading. Snacks and an activity will be provided.

Registration is required.

The adult virtual escape room will be 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. July 9. This virtual escape room will occur over Zoom.

Summer reading continues through Aug. 14 for all ages. Sign up and begin tracking on your bingo sheet to win some great prizes.

Weekly storytimes feature toddler storytime 10 a.m. Tuesdays and preschool storytime 10 a.m. Wednesdays through Aug. 9.

Join the 4-H Club members 6 p.m. Tuesdays July 13-Aug. 17 for presentations on food science and agricultural science activities. This program, for ages 5-10, will be held outdoors, weather permitting.

The Little Red Riding Hood CSI program is scheduled for 6 p.m. July 15. This program, for grades 3-5, will be held outdoors, weather permitting.

Join us 7 p.m. July 21 on Zoom to learn how to garden for butterflies and hummingbirds. Master Gardener Lori Metz will discuss which plants attract butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden and how to keep a succession of blooms, water and shelter available throughout the seasons.

There will be an owl pellet dissection program 6 p.m. July 29. This program, for ages 5 and up, will be held outdoors, weather permitting.

Join Eyes of the Wild for the Tails and Tales program 6 p.m. Aug. 5 at Municipal Park, pavilion A. You will get to see five different animals up close and learn all about them.

Learn about the birds in your backyard during a Zoom program with Lehigh Valley Audubon Society, set for 7 p.m. Aug. 11.

The story character scavenger hunt is set for 6 p.m. Aug. 12. This program, for grades 2-5, will be held outdoors, weather permitting.

Craft bags with story suggestions are available for pickup for ages preschool through second grade. There will be a new craft every week throughout July.
