Theft by deception
Dominic Cosmo Cherry, 29, of Phoenixville, was charged May 22 with alleged theft by deception and receiving stolen property following an incident in the 3500 block of Pleasant Avenue, according to Salisbury police. Cherry allegedly purchased items knowing the payment method would not be authorized.
Ada Alvarado, 34, of Allentown, was charged June 10 with alleged theft by deception, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy following an incident in the 1700 block of South Albert Street, according to Salisbury police.
Receiving stolen property
Concepcion Reyes, 59, of Allentown, was charged June 10 with alleged receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy following an incident in the 1700 block of South Albert Street, according to Salisbury police.
DUI
A 25-year-old male, of Allentown, was charged June 7 with allegedly driving under the influence following a traffic stop in the 1800 block of East Susquehanna Street, according to Salisbury police. The male was transported to the Lehigh County Central Booking Center.
Theft from vehicle
Catalytic converters were removed from vehicles parked in the 2800 block of South Pike Avenue, according to Salisbury police. The thefts were reported June 8 and remain under investigation.
A license plate was removed from a vehicle while it was parked in the 3600 block of Salisbury Hills Drive, according to Salisbury police. The theft was reported June 15 and is under investigation.
Compulsory school attendance
A 14-year-old female and a 15-year-old-female were charged June 14 due to allegedly having excessive school absences from Salisbury Township High School, according to Salisbury police.
An 11-year-old-female, an 11-year-old-male and a 13-year-old female were charged June 14 due to allegedly having excessive school absences from Salisbury Township Middle School, according to Salisbury police.
Identity theft
A resident of the 900 block of Chris Lane alleges someone opened a claim for unemployment benefits using his identity, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported June 9.
Fraud
A resident of the 800 block of Weil Street received a check in the mail with instructions to cash the check and mail some of the proceeds to another location, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported June 9 and is under investigation.
Criminal mischief
A resident of the 500 block of East Emmaus Avenue reported damage to a vehicle, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported June 18 and is under investigation.
Theft
A resident of the 2300 block of Cypress Avenue discovered the removal of patio furniture valued at $449, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported June 15 and is under investigation.
Arrest warrants
A 30-year-old male, of Coopersburg, was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant June 16, according to Salisbury police. The male was transported to the Lehigh County Central Booking Center. The warrant was issued by Salisbury police.
A 35-year-old male, of Newark, N.J., was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant June 19, according to Salisbury police. The male was transported to the Lehigh County Central Booking Center. The warrant was issued by the City of Hazleton Police Department.
