The building at 3440 Lehigh St., near the South Mall in Salisbury Township, that formerly housed the offices of the Penn Treaty Network America Insurance Co., is now the home of St. Luke’s University Health Network medical offices.
After months of extensive renovations by contractors for Serfass Construction Co., of Allentown, the first level of the building will house St. Luke’s Lehigh Primary Care medical offices, Outpatient Lab Services and a St. Luke’s OB/GYN practice.
The Lehigh Primary Care medical offices and lab facility moved from 619 Dalton St., Emmaus, to the Lehigh Street facility. Before becoming the St. Luke’s Lehigh Primary Care facility, the Dalton Street facility was the former family practice of Sam Bub & Associates.
Penn Treaty administrative and corporate activity continues in a suite of second-floor offices at the Lehigh Street location.
After years of financial struggles, the Penn Treaty Network America insurance operation was placed in liquidation by state regulators. Penn Treaty’s long-term care claims are now being administered by Tri-Plus, of Allentown. The claims are being paid by a state insurance guarantee association. Tri-plus workers will be located on the second floor renovated offices at the Lehigh Street site.
