Happy Fourth of July weekend!

This year is a different from last year since it is safer to have gatherings for the fully vaccinated. Be safe and enjoy if you have a cookout, go on a day trip, watch fireworks or get together with friends or family.

Since the holiday falls on a Sunday, most government offices will be closed the following day, July 5. Plan accordingly.

Many organizations and towns are holding fireworks displays.

Allentown will hold an Independence Day celebration at J. Birney Crum Stadium, starting 5 p.m. The fireworks display begins 9:15 p.m.

Additionally, SteelStacks in Bethlehem is also having a celebration starting 6 p.m., with the fireworks display set for 9 p.m.

Even if you are not going to a specific fireworks event, remember to look to the sky to possibly get a glimpse of a celebration somewhere nearby!
