Following last summer’s lockdown due to COVID-19, Catasauqua kids get to enjoy this summer with plenty of things to do. Suburban North Family YMCA’s summer day camp program for youths in the area is underway.
“This year, we put a full program of activities,” said Montana Muller, assistant parks program coordinator. “Everybody has time to do athletic and craft activities.”
The YMCA program boasts days filled with learning and fun while fostering friendships. Children get to put down their electronic devices for a bit and enjoy the fresh air outside.
Diane Czar, of Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, coordinates a lunch every day for the youths. The noon meal is available from the congregation and its fundraising projects.
