Michael J. Gancarcik Jr., 90, of Bethlehem, died, June 19, 2021, while in the care of Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown. Born in Hudson, he was a son of the late Michael and Francis (Bonetski) Gancarcik. He was the husband of the late Doris R. (Mathias) Gancarcik.
He was in the United States Army during the Korean War and was awarded a Purple Heart.
He worked at Bethlehem Steel Corp. and then for Pennsylvania Power and Light for over 30 years until he retired.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Miller Heights.
He is survived by three daughters, Mary Mirro and her husband Charles of Bath, Jean Gancarcik and Michelle Wallach and her husband Garrett of Bethlehem Township; a son, Michael III of Bethlehem Township; and three grandchildren, Kimberly Mirro, Amber Weaver and Aaron Weaver.
He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Gancarcik; and a sister, Julia Savakinus.
