Buckno Lisicky & Company has announced it has named Chris Betley, CPA, as an Equity Shareholder to the firm.

Betley joined Buckno Lisicky & Company in September 2018 and was promoted to Preferred Shareholder in 2019, stated a June 7 press release.

Prior to joining the firm, he worked for a large regional accounting firm in New Jersey before relocating to the Lehigh Valley.

Betley has more than 10 years of experience in audits of local and state government entities, including fire companies, townships, counties, water and sewer utilities, school districts, community colleges and non-profit entities.

He is on the firm’s Quality Control Committee where he performs firm-wide quality control technical reviews, inspections and in-house CPE training courses.

Betley received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Moravian College in 2006 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2014.

He is treasurer for the Bethlehem Rotary Club and a board member and a member of the finance committee for Valley Youth House.

He lives in Bethlehem with his wife, Emily; two daughters Olivia and Juliet, and son Colton.
