The Wanderers Legion team is off to a hot start this season in NORCO and they look like they might be one of the last teams standing in this year’s format.
Off to a 4-0 start coming into the week, Dwight Pulieri’s team has knocked off Freemansburg, Birches, Northampton and Palmer to start the season.
“Our strength as a team should be our balance and depth,” said Pulieri. “We roster 18 players and everyone on the roster is capable of competing on this level.”
Some of the key players on this year’s team include Wyatt Marshall (CF, Liberty); Brayden D’Amico (SS/P, Liberty); Parker Frey (P/OF, Liberty); Jack Rothenhauser (P/IF, Liberty); Jaden Clements (IF, Bethlehem Catholic); Cole Hershman (1B/P, Bethlehem Catholic); Andre Ledee (P/C, Freedom); Erick Ludwick (C, Liberty).
With only 10 teams in the league this year, a condensed schedule will pit the team with games everyday this week in the lead up to wrapping up the season before Fourth of July weekend.
“With the league condensed it makes things very competitive this year,” said Pulieri. “Talent isn’t spread out like it was before, so this year is definitely anyone’s league.”
