Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, will resume weekly Sunday services inside the building 9 a.m. July 4
Assistant Office Administrator Kate Stauter reports restrictions will remain in place to keep people safe.
Singing will not be included at first, and social distancing for seating will be advised.
“When herd immunity is reached in the county, we will re-evaluate the worship style,” Stauter said.
Union Lutheran will continue to broadcast the 9 a.m. services on FM radio for those who prefer to remain in their cars outside.
Another option will be to view the worship online.
“We will continue virtual services forever,” Stauter said, adding the church plans to increase programs and activities in the fall.
Pastor Gordon Camp commented.
“It is in love we have chosen to gather in safer ways,” Camp said. “We are still living in a time of pandemic. We still need to be careful, especially for the sake of others.
“We stated Union Lutheran will maintain COVID protections until most of the population has received the vaccine and rates of transmission decline substantially.
“So let’s get the darn shots and let’s kick this thing to the curb!”
