Ernest D. Meck, 91, of Wescosville, died June 9, 2021, at home. He was the husband of Joyce L. (Landis) Meck. They celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary in May. Born in Alburtis, he was a son of the late Dewey and Edith (Gracely) Meck.

He worked as a construction electrician for the former Western Electric for 32 years, retiring in 1989.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mertztown.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of Ray A. Master American Legion Post #217, Topton.

He belonged to Lehigh Saengerbund and Ranger Lake Association. He enjoyed dancing, gardening, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife; sons, David and his wife, Beverly, Keith and his wife, Jan; brothers, Carl and his wife, Patricia, Kermit and his wife, Irene; grandchildren, Michael and his wife, Sara, Kathy, Douglas and his fiancée, Tana, Jennifer and her husband, Brandon; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Benjamin, Kara, Ian, Ryan and Brynn. He was predeceased by a brother, Wayne and sisters, Anna Heffner and Edna Glodzig.
