David L. Hangen, 73, of Northampton, died June 10, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Jean (Banks) Hangen for 49 years.
Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Charles and Luetta (Wright) Hangen.
He was a sergeant during the Vietnam War.
He was a machinist for Everson-Tesla, Nazareth, for 50 years before he retired in 2018.
He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Northampton.
He coached youth baseball and basketball for the Northampton Athletic Association in his earlier years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Christina L. Oswald and her husband Thomas of Northampton; a son, Charles D. and his wife Carol of Nazareth; a sister, Lujean P. Burak and her husband Michael of Exton; and four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ronica, Ava and Alec.
