Upper Macungie Township police and fire departments will host a Junior Emergency Services Academy 9 a.m.-3 p.m. July 19-23 at Upper Macungie Station 56, 6510 Schantz Road.

This weeklong academy is a fun way to learn more about being a firefighter and police officer.

Monday and Thursday will be police days, Tuesday and Wednesday are fire and emergency medical service days.

Friday is the challenge day with lunch and awards to follow around noon.

Spots are limited to 20 participants.

All registrants must be between 12- and 16-years-old on the date the academy begins and they must be a resident Upper Macungie Township.

Submit completed registration form by July 1 to: Upper Macungie Township, 8330 Schantz Road, Breinigsville, PA 18031 (Attention: Bureau of Fire).
