The summer basketball scene has officially been back at Cedar Beach with the return of the summer league, but this weekend’s Bash at the Beach is the marquee event that everyone will have their eyes on.

The varsity boys bracket features 26 teams with action starting on Thursday night with all three local teams participating in the event.

Liberty and Bethlehem Catholic kick things off at 6 p.m. each, as the Hurricanes open with Berks Catholic and Becahi takes on Northwestern. The winners of those two games will then play on Friday at 7 p.m. in what could potentially be an all-Bethlehem affair in the double elimination tournament.

Freedom opens play at 8 p.m. on Thursday against Emmaus at the bottom of the bracket, as the winner of that game will take on Easton Friday night at 8 p.m.
