This year’s Carpenter Cup Softball Tournament is on and Lehigh Valley’s roster has been released, which includes sophomores and juniors from high schools throughout District XI.
The Carpenter Cup tournament, played at FDR Park in Philadelphia, is a college showcase featuring teams from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
Blake Morgan, who is the head coach for Whitehall High School’s softball team, is the head coach of Lehigh Valley, and is assisted by Ed Stinner and Kyle Stinner, who coach with Morgan at Whitehall.
Players are: Freedom’s Julia Griffith, Julia Heineman, and Natalie Stannard; Northampton’s Devin Demchak, Angela Fisher, and Taylor Kranzley; Whitehall’s Lennon Dreisbach, Mackenzie Laub, and Jessica Spanitz; Emmaus’s Shayla Morgan; Northwestern Lehigh’s Marissa Christman; Allentown Central Catholic’s Lauren Egan and Jennifer Milisits; Easton’s Rozalee Negron; and William Allen’s Nora Zekkaria.
Lehigh Valley’s first game is scheduled for June 21 at 8 a.m. when they will face Burlington County. The championship game is scheduled for June 23.
