Theft from vehicle

A catalytic converter, valued at $2,900, was removed from a vehicle while it was parked in the 2800 block of South Pike Avenue, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported June 3 and is under investigation.

A 15-year-old male student at Salisbury High School was charged May 31 with alleged truancy after 82 unlawful absences from school, according to Salisbury police.

Scam

A resident of the 1700 block of Lehigh Avenue was contacted by an unknown person who told him he won $5,000, according to Salisbury police. The resident later discovered two charges were made to his bank account. The charges totaled $206. The incident was reported June 2.

Identity theft

A resident of the 400 block of Exeter Road discovered an unknown person attempted to obtain unemployment benefits by using his personal information, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported May 24.

A resident in the 3100 block of Ironwood Lane discovered an unauthorized purchase totaling $1,152.22 was made against her bank account, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported May 23 and is under investigation.
