DRIVE THRU CLINICS: The drive-through vaccination/testing center is a collaboration between the Northampton County Department of Community and Economic Development, Emergency Management Services and Lehigh Valley Hospital-Coordinated Health Allentown Hospital (LVH-CHA). It is located at 3100 Emrick Boulevard in Bethlehem Township with hours of operation of Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 10:00AM – 2:00PM and Tuesday/Thursday from 3:00PM – 6:00PM.
Vaccinations are by appointment only and only for Northampton County residents. Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available to residents age eighteen and older. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is a single dose. Those receiving the Moderna vaccine will require a second dose three weeks after the first shot. Vaccinations became available at the site on June 3rd. Nineteen people received a vaccination in the first three days they were offered.

Call 833-584-6283 (833-LVHN-CVD). The COVID-19 Vaccine Hotline is open Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
A Physician’s order is not required for a COVID-19 test. The drive-through site is open to everyone, but only residents of Northampton County will have the cost of testing covered by the County if they do not have health coverage. All testing will be through HNL Lab Medicine unless insurance requires an alternate laboratory. Participants should bring a photo ID and their insurance card, if they have one, with them to the testing site.
CORONOR’S REPORT: Between January 1st and June 3, 2021, the Northampton County Coroner recorded 165 COVID-19 related deaths in Northampton County (136 Residents/29 Non-Residents). The last COVID-19 related death was recorded on May 10th. As of May 3, 2021, the Lehigh County Coroner reported 66 deaths of Northampton County residents. Between the two counties, 202 deaths of Northampton County residents from COVID-19 have been reported this year.
“For perhaps the first time in this pandemic, Northampton County has gone three weeks without a recorded death from COVID-19,” says Lamont McClure. “I want to thank all the front line workers for their efforts and our residents who followed the CDC guidelines to prevent transmission of the virus and got vaccinated when the shots became available.”
In 2020, the Northampton County Coroner reported 403 COVID-19 related deaths (359 Residents and 44 Non-residents). The Lehigh County Coroner reported 118 deaths for a total of 477 COVID-19-related deaths for Northampton County residents in 2020.
LEHIGH VALLEY
LVHN VISITATION POLICY: – Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is revising its visitation policy as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to improve in our communities.
The updated policy applies to all units in all LVHN hospitals, including emergency departments, as well as locations providing outpatient care. Masks are still required in all health care settings, consistent with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
LVHN will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and CDC guidelines and make additional changes as appropriate.
Effective June 9, 2021:
• Visiting hours will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Two visitors are permitted per patient.
• Masks are required at all times.
• No children under 12 are permitted, unless approved by patient care services leadership.
• Adult Behavioral Health – no visitation
• Adolescent Behavioral Health – one parent/guardian at a time
