Allentown Central Catholic High School celebrates academic awards and spring sports awards

First, congratulations to Vikette athlete Riley Horoshko, who finished the girls lacrosse season with 208 saves, a new school record.
The Vikette lacrosse team finished the regular season with a record of 10-8, averaging 13 goals per game. Congratulations to the letter winners. Great job to all of our track and field athletes who participated in the District XI 2A Championships. Congratulations to ACCHS medalists: Jacob Demchak, second place 3200 meter run; Julia Roth, third place 800 meter run; Joey Duffy, third place 800 meter run; Patrick Donohue, fourth place high jump; Charlie Haring, fourth place pole vault; Maksym Komperda, fourth place triple jump and fourth place 110 high hurdles; Jimmy Freeman, fourth place 1600 meter run.
Congratulations to our Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science State Competition winners. First Place: Sophia Steckel; Kaysiana Yeager and Sarah Boardman. Second Place: Anna Edwards and Shyanne Ly.
ACCHS students Robert Garza and Ashleigh Meskill participated in the Freddy Awards. The celebration honored local high school theater programs and aired May 27.

ACCHS held its Senior Week celebrations May 23 through 28. A senior dinner at Shelby was held Sunday; costume day and a scavenger hunt were held Monday; pajama day took place Tuesday; college shirt day was held Wednesday; senior week shirt day took place Thursday and uniform signing and senior Mass at Sacred Heart closed the week.
