Yolanda Wilma Mikovits, 81, died June 4, 2021.
Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of John and Rose (Lorenz) Mikovits.
She was a 1958 graduate of Central Catholic High School, Allentown.
She worked at Bethlehem Steel, AT&T, Lucent and Agere. She performed and recorded with the Walt Groller Orchestra for many years.
She was a member of Coplay Recreation & Welfare where she began the Little Miss Coplay pageant. She was a Great Valley Girl Scout leader for the St. Peter’s Brownie troop for 25 years. She volunteered for several organizations, including the American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program.
She is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Kern; a brother, John Mikovits; five nieces and nephews, Cyndi Gregory, Deb Hogan, Sue Greenplate, Meg Mikovits and John Mikovits; and seven great-nieces and great-nephews, Abigail and Josh Greenplate, Noah Hogan, Keegan and Zoie Gregory and Jude and Wren Allen.
There will be a graveside service 10 a.m. June 10 at St. Peter Cemetery, Whitehall.
