Western Lehigh Chamber fundraiser benefits the ‘Sanctuary’

The Western Lehigh Chamber of Commerce sponsored its first “Paws in the Park” May 16 at Grange Park, Upper Macungie.

The program was to support The Sanctuary at Haafsville, an all-volunteer pet adoption agency.

The Sanctuary is among several pet adoption agencies whose goal is to prevent abandoned and unwanted pets from euthanasia.

Many of the animals brought to the Sanctuary at Haafsville are from the southern United States were euthanasia is wide spread.

A basket raffle and 50/50 drawing were held at the event with all proceeds going to the Sanctuary.

Vendors were also on hand selling pet food, accessories and toys.
