St. Luke’s Hospice 10th Annual Charity Bike Ride, “A Ride to Remember,” starts and finishes on the D&L National Heritage Trail.
The ride begins at 10 a.m. June 5 from the trailhead, 200 North Main Lane, Lehighton.
Michelle Udicious, St. Luke’s Hospice director of outreach and referral management, said she expects 200-250 riders to participate in the rain-or-shine ride, canceled in 2020 because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Volunteers hand out water and snacks on the way. There are turnarounds at Slatington and Treichlers, marking 10- and 20-mile segments. Riders each receive a T-shirt and a boxed lunch upon return.
People can take a “virtual” ride if they chose to log their miles and make a donation to St Luke’s Hospice.
