We are quickly approaching the home stretch of this roller coaster of a year. I’m hoping that next school year brings more consistency for our kids and this crazy year is nothing but a memory that someday we can all be like “Remember when …” but for now we continue to push forward.
Support the Salisbury High School Class of 2024 with their rib fest fundraiser. Fill out the form (found via the district email or district live feed) to pre-order your ribs to pick up at Texas Roadhouse in Trexlertown 3:30-8 p.m. June 2 or 3. Choose your pickup date and time and leave the rest to the Texas Roadhouse team.
Orders will end 10 a.m. May 26. Payment will be taken upon pickup. The rib rally meal includes: fall-off-the-bone ribs (four bones), seasoned steak fries, fresh baked bread and homemade honey cinnamon butter. Plus, you’ll receive a peanut bag with a free appetizer voucher for your next visit. Grab your dinner now.
All Salisbury Township schools will be closed May 28 and 31 for the Memorial Day holiday. Thank you to all the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. We remember you.
There will be an operations committee meeting 7 p.m. June 2. That meeting will be followed by a curriculum and technology committee meeting.
The last Salisbury Elementary School T-shirt day of the school year will be June 3. Let’s see all those awesome shirts one final time.
Salisbury Youth Association cheerleading and football registration is now live for the fall season. Details are available online at syasports.com.
SES is eagerly planning the return of the ice cream festival noon to 4 p.m. June 5. The PTO is still looking for volunteers to assist in many different areas. Please refer to the email sent to SES families or contact the PTO for more information and volunteer opportunities. Hope to see you there.
The Salisbury Athletic Booster Club is holding its clothing drive 9 a.m. to noon June 5 at the Salisbury Middle School main entrance. The truck will pick up donations between noon and 1 p.m., so no late arrivals will be accepted. For more information on what items will be accepted, visit www.clothingdrive.net.
The township yard waste sites continue to be open alternating weekends for drop off needs. Hours for drop off are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. The Devonshire site will be open May 24, 27 and 29, while the Franko Farm site will be open June 3 and 5. Please note the drop off sites will be closed May 31 for Memorial Day.
