Gloria E. Kern, 89, of Whitehall, formerly of Bethlehem, died May 20, 2021, in Whitehall Manor.

Born in New Tripoli, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Minnie (Kunkel) Kern.

She graduated from St. Luke’s Nursing School and was a registered nurse for 41 years at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem, and then volunteered at St. Luke’s after retiring.

She was a member of and volunteer for the Bethlehem Music Festival Association and a member of the Order of The Eastern Star, Slatington Chapter 458.

She was a member of St. Stephen’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.

Her survivors include one nephew and five nieces.

She was predeceased by siblings Edgar W. Kern, Geraldine M. Wesoloski and Carolyn J. Mantz.
