Donald E. Masonheimer, 64, of Moore Township, died peacefully May 23, 2021, surrounded by his family and friends in St. Luke’s University Hospital, Bethlehem.
He and his wife, Patricia K. (LaMay) Masonheimer, were married 19 years.
Born April 1, 1957, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Howard F. and Mary J. (Kolb) Masonheimer.
An HVAC technician at the former Allentown State Hospital for 27 years, he retired in 2012.
He was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall.
An avid fisherman, he was a member of Ranger Lake.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by stepdaughters Jessica M. Medei and her companion, Clayton, of Slatington, Erica M. Merritt of Jim Thorpe, Melissa A. Breidinger and her husband, Scott, of Moore Township; brothers Howard F. Masonheimer of Georgia, Ronald S. Masonheimer of Allentown; and grandchildren Alexa, Kenzi, Lillian, Kassidy, Wyatt and Estella.
He was predeceased by sisters Donna L. Saemmer and Mary J. Breitfeld.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. May 28 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, with the Rev. Thomas D. Busteed officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects 1-2 p.m. Friday in the church. Interment will follow the service at St. John’s Union Cemetery, Mickleys, Whitehall.
