The Emmaus Veterans Committee will honor departed comrades buried in each of the six cemeteries in Emmaus. All are invited who would like to be present for a short prayer service, rifle salute and taps. It will start 8 a.m. at Calvary cemetery, then in the following order, Old Moravian, Moravian at Ridge Street, Lutheran Reformed, Northwood and ending at Evangelical, Second and Ridge streets.

The Upper Milford Western District Fire Company will host a virtual basket raffle fundraiser through its Facebook page. Winning tickets will be drawn by noon. Baskets are donated by local residents and can be viewed on the Facebook page. Organizers also are offering a physical copy of the photos by special arrangement. There is a cost per sheet of 25 ticket chances. Send a Facebook message, text or call with a list of basket choices. The Emmaus Veterans Committee will hold its annual Memorial Day parade and services. The parade will form promptly 9 a.m. at the Emmaus High School parking lot and proceed up Chestnut Street to the memorial site at Third and Fourth streets at which time there will be services held by the Emmaus Honor Guard. In case of inclement weather, the parade will be canceled but a short military service will be held only at the memorial site by the Emmaus Honor Guard to honor fallen heroes.

The Emmaus Garden Club will meet noon at the Rotary Club pavilion in Emmaus Community Park. The speaker will be Joe Daniels, a master gardener from Delaware County. The program will be “Plant a Cocktail Garden.” Guests are always welcome. For more information, call 610-395-0903.

The St. Ann Council of the Knights of Columbus will hold its popular drive-in version of bingo. This is a family-friendly, social-distancing version of 50-50 cash prize bingo where the players stay in their cars (like at the drive-in) and the bingo board is projected on the back wall of St. Ann’s Church in Emmaus. The donation includes 20 games plus a box supper. Snacks, desserts and beverages are included free. The gates open 7:15 p.m. and the first game begins 7:45 p.m. The numbers are called both over loudspeakers and by a radio signal which can be picked up by players’ car radios. Children under 18 can play if accompanied by an adult. Players should enter via the South Fifth Street entrance into St. Ann’s upper parking lot. Players are asked to wear face masks when at check in and whenever out of the cars. All proceeds benefit the charitable works of the Knights of Columbus. For information, visit www.koc12886.org.

Emmaus borough will hold its annual community yard sale 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a rain date of June 6. No permit or fee is required to hold a yard sale on this date.
