Moore Township: Churches plan basket social, raffle for June 4, 5

Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore, 913 S. Mink Road, Danielsville, is hosting a spring basket social, planned 5-8 p.m. June 4 and 9 a.m.-noon June 5.

Masks and social distancing will be required.

Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive, is hosting a grill and milkshake night 4-7 p.m. June 4. The event will be for eating in and curbside pickup.

Emmanuel’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, announces the return of in-person worship beginning June 6. Masks and social distancing are required.

The celebration worship service will begin 8:45 a.m., and traditional service begins 10 a.m.

Emmanuel’s church is also having an outdoor games and picnic day 11 a.m. June 6.

Moore Township Community Days committee is sponsoring a live music event featuring Social Call 6 p.m. June 11. The event will be held at the Moore Township Recreation Center, located off English Road and Route 946.

Moore Township residents with the ZIP code 18014 are welcome to participate in an electronic recycling event, planned for 9 a.m.-noon June 12. This is a no-contact event, and residents must remain in their vehicles.

Some items are free to drop off, and some have a fee, payable by cash or check.

Moore Township reminds residents of the yard waste site hours for drop-off. Hours are 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and sunup to sundown Saturdays. The site is closed Sundays.

Residents may also drop off for free at First Regional Compost Authority, 6701 Weaversville Road.
