The annual free fishing derby will be held May 29 at Hokendauqua Park, 3471 Lehigh St. Registration is set for 8-8:45 a.m. The contest runs 9 a.m.-noon.
There will be first-, second- and third-place awards in four age groups: 6 and under, 7-9, 10-12 and 13-15. An additional prize will be awarded for the overall biggest fish.
The derby, sponsored by Whitehall Township Recreation Bureau, is for children 15 years of age and younger.
You must bring your own bait and tackle. Refreshments will be provided by Hokendauqua Park & Playground Association.

A Memorial Day service with First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua is planned for 11:15 a.m. May 30 at the triangle, not far from the church, 3005 S. Front St.

Outdoor worship services will continue through June 13 at First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua.
Services start 10 a.m. If attending, bring a lawn chair and remain distant. The services will also be livestreamed on Facebook, and the recording will be posted on the church’s website.
Services will be moved inside the sanctuary starting 10 a.m. June 20.
