Gloria E. Kern, 89, of Whitehall and formerly of Bethlehem, died May 20, 2021, at Whitehall Manor.

Born in New Tripoli, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Minnie (Kunkel) Kern.

She graduated from St. Luke’s Nursing School.

She was a registered nurse for 41 years at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem.

She was a member of St. Stephen’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.

She was, after retiring from St. Luke’s, a volunteer at the hospital. She was a member and volunteer of the Bethlehem Music Festival Association and a member of Order of The Eastern Star, Slatington Chapter 458.

She is survived by a nephew; and five nieces.

She was predeceased by three siblings, Edgar W. Kern, Geraldine M. Wesoloski and Carolyn J. Mantz.
