CMS News: Half days coming up for CMS students

Catasauqua Middle School students will have half days June 1-4, with an 11 a.m. dismissal.

The last day of school for students in grades 5-7 is June 4. The last day for eighth-grade students is June 2.

Reminder: Don’t forget the CMS book fair is happening now until May 30. Shipping is free on book-only purchases more than $25.

School will be closed May 31 for the Memorial Day holiday.

There will be a drive-by for fifth- and sixth-grade virtual students noon-1 p.m. June 2 to wave goodbye to your online teachers and receive a little treat.

Eighth-grade students will participate in a drive-thru promotion 8:30-10 a.m. June 3.

This is for both traditional-learning students and virtual students. Academic achievements and other awards will be presented to students, along with their promotion certificate.

Cars will line up along the current drop-off and pickup route. Each car will stop at the front door, and the certificates and awards will be handed off. All family members should remain in the car.

Eighth-grade teachers will be present to wish each student well on his or her high school journey.

Keep an eye out for the eighth-grade promotion slideshow. It will be available on the CMS website June 1-4.

Lehigh Valley Health Network is now offering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to children ages 12-15. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
