Albana Gegvata, 43, of Northampton, died May 18, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem.

Born in Puke, Albania, she was a daughter of Lek and Bardhe (Sokoli) Gegvata.

She studied dentistry and was a dental technician before immigrating to the United States.

She was active in her home church in Albania, where she volunteered with the Sisters of Mother Theresa.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by four siblings, Ermira and her husband Greg Mazziotta of Allentown, Francesca Gegvata of Northampton, Eleonora and her husband Peter Costello of Richboro and Leonard Gegvata of Northampton; two nephews, Nicholas and Jonathan; and two nieces, Amelia and Teresa.
