YWCA Bethlehem is proud to announce the next installment of the Community Voices Series. The Community Voices Series is a free public program of YWCA Bethlehem that fosters racial and gender equity by providing a safe space for courageous conversations and exploration of complex social issues.
Over the next several months, the YWCA’s Empowerment & Justice Committee will explore the concept of allyship, starting with “An Introduction to Allyship” today at 5 p.m. This “101 level” workshop is the perfect starting point to understand the definition, intent and work of being an ally to marginalized individuals and communities. Join this session to learn more about how you can take action in your own life to support others.
A second allyship workshop is scheduled for Monday, June 21 at 5 p.m. The June workshop will focus on being an effective ally to the LGBTQ community. Details for this session and other upcoming programs will be available at ywcabethlehem.org under the “Racial Justice and Allyship” tab on the homepage.
The Community Voices Series, hosted by YWCA Bethlehem’s Empowerment and Justice Committee, strives to provide an array of engaging programs that advance equity, diversity, intersectionality, and allyship in the Lehigh Valley.
