Catasauqua High School presents the 1999 Broadway version of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” based on characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Schulz for his newspaper comic strip “Peanuts.”
Video on Demand is available 6 p.m. May 28 to 11:55 p.m. May 30 of the production filmed at Catasauqua High School, 2500 W. Bullshead Road, Northampton.
Catasauqua production director Brenda McGuire is assisted by choreographer Kerry McGuire, music director Rob Arnold and vocal director John Leiderman.
Music and lyrics are by Clark Gesner and Andrew Lippa with book by Clark Gesner.
The musical comedy premiered off-Broadway in 1967. The 1999 Broadway production received four Tony Award nominations, winning two Tonys.
Featured songs include “Suppertime,” “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” “My Blanket and Me” and “Beethoven Day.”
