Roy J. Kern, 70, of Catasauqua, formerly of Schnecksville, died May 14, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the husband of the late Nancy A. (Rader) Kern.

Born Nov. 6, 1950, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Clarence J. and Grace F. (Heterington) Kern.

He was a sales representative for Allentown Brake and Wheel and Associated Auto Parts, Allentown, for 20 years before retiring.

He was a volunteer fire policeman with Tri-Clover Fire Company, Orefield and Community Fire Co. No. 1, Schnecksville.

His survivors include a sister Dorothy Moyer and her husband, Glenroy, of Kutztown.

He was predeceased by sisters Catherine Bossons and Patricia Hoffman.

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. on May 20 at Jerusalem Western Salisbury Cemetery, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown, with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating.

There will be no public calling hours.
