Marie “Jan” Haberern

Marie “Jan” Haberern, 90, of 39th St., Allentown, South Whitehall Township, died May 15, 2021, at Legend of Allentown, Macungie, with her daughter by her side.

She was the wife and high school sweetheart of the late Ralph J. Haberern, DDS, with whom she shared many years of happiness before his death in 2000.

Born in Northampton County, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Chaputa) Kraftician.

She was office manager for her late husband’s dental practice for many years.

She was a member of Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown.

A 1949 graduate of the Whitehall High School, Hokendauqua, she was a member of the Lehigh County Dental Auxiliary for many years and helped plan social functions.

She enjoyed caring for animals and taking casino trips and gaming.

Her survivors include a daughter, Christina M., wife of David B. Wogenrich, of Allentown; grandchildren Alyson and Kevin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by sister Marjorie Gannon, and brother Robert Kraftician.

Her services will be 11 a.m. May 20 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton.

Call 10-11 a.m. Thursday in funeral home. Interment at Egypt Cemetery, Main Street, Whitehall Township.
