The Celtic Cultural Alliance has announced that it is continuing the tradition of awarding several scholarships to students under the age of 18 who are pursuing the study of Irish or Scottish Highland Dance, Celtic music through the bagpipe, fiddle or harp, or Celtic art or literature.
The mission of Celtic Cultural Alliance is to promote and preserve the Celtic culture of the seven Celtic nations through art, history, dance, music, and literature.
The purpose of the scholarship is to apply the funds for future classes, instruments, or other costs related to pursuing a Celtic art form.
Application deadline is June 15.
Celtic Cultural Alliance also offers a volunteer scholarship to inspire high school students to volunteer and share their experiences about Celtic Classic while gaining useful knowledge and contributing to the community.
This award will be given to one high school student who has volunteered at Celtic Classic Highland Games and Festival for at least one Celtic Classic festival for at least 12 hours.
To sign up for volunteer hours, visit celticfest.org.
