Catasauqua High School Drama Club is pleased to present the virtual show “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” (revised). Charles Schulz’s beloved comic comes to life in Clark Gesner’s classic musical, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” The whole gang is here: bossy Lucy, who is in love with piano sensation Schroeder, who doesn’t give her the time of day; Sally is still making fun of blanket-toting Linus; Snoopy is in the doghouse; and “blockhead” himself, Charlie Brown, is in rare form.
Brief vignettes span the months from Valentine’s Day to Beethoven Day, from wild optimism to utter despair. In this revised version, with additional music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and dialogue by Michael Mayer, the sweet, joyful innocence of the Peanuts gang is maintained, but a fresh carefreeness and playfulness are revealed.
This new script features two new songs, particularly funny dialogue and new, catchy orchestrations in this crowd-pleasing classic. The show was filmed in and around the CHS campus.
This virtual show is available to watch between 6 p.m. May 28 and 11:55 p.m. May 30. The event can be viewed on any device with a stable Internet connection and adequate bandwidth.
Tickets are $15 per household. All ticket sales are final (no refunds or exchanges). Please note this is a single-viewer link and cannot be shared. If the link is used to access the stream from more than one device, the original viewer will be dropped from the connection and no longer able to watch the show. When you activate the link in your confirmation email, you will have 24 hours to watch the performance. Keep in mind the access ends 11:55 p.m. May 30.
Show tickets can be purchased at onthestage.com/chs-drama-club2/individual-tickets.

The CHS graduation ceremony for the Class of 2021 is scheduled for June 5. It is moving inside and will be held in the high school gymnasium. The time of the ceremony will remain 10 a.m.
The successes of the Class of 2021 will be celebrated with a traditional ceremony.
The bleachers on both sides of the gymnasium will be available for seating as well as chairs on the floor, set 3 feet apart for guests who feel comfortable sitting within this distance.
Senior students will be emailed the process for receiving extra tickets if needed. Since the school is still at limited capacity, students are being asked to only request extra tickets if absolutely necessary for someone to attend.
The graduation ceremony will also be livestreamed through the school’s YouTube channel, CattySD YouTube.
