Ice Cream Festival needs volunteers

The Salisbury Elementary School Ice Cream Festival is fast approaching and volunteers are needed. We want to make this the best one yet as we finish our first school year as a united elementary. The festival runs noon to 4 p.m. June 5 at SES. Please consider signing up to help. Contact sespto@salisburysd.org to get the link to the sign up genius.
To honor the seniors of 2021, at 6:30 p.m. June 6, there will be a senior car parade starting at the middle school and ending at the South Mall. Come out and line the streets to cheer on the Class of 2021 as they make one final drive as a student of Salisbury High School. Go Falcons!
Here is the testing schedule for the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment. For students in grades five through eight, the math portion will be held May 20 and 21 and the science portion will be May 24 and 25. For students in grades three and four, the math portion will be May 24 and 25. For fourth grade, science will be May 26 and 27.
After all that testing, Salisbury Township schools are closed May 28 for a teacher in-service and closed May 31 in honor of Memorial Day.
Lehigh Career and Technical Institute is hosting summer camp. From 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 21-25 LCTI is holding camp for students in grades five through eight at the LCTI campus off Route 309 in Schnecksville. This camp is run by LCTI instructors to teach students about a choice of topics, ranging from 3D design, carpentry, baking, science and more. For complete details, visit www.lcti.org. SES is holding school T-shirt days May 20 and June 3.
Salisbury Township yard waste drop off sites are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Franko Farm will be open May 20 and 22 but will be closed Memorial Day. The Devonshire site will be open May 24, 27 and 29. For a complete listing of acceptable items, visit the township website under the heading “Refuse and Recycling.”
