Green Meadow, a cemetery located at 1121 Graham St. in Fountain Hill, is the only natural burial cemetery in the Lehigh Valley.
On a recent Saturday, volunteers from across the Lehigh Valley chipped in to do yard maintenance for the cemetery. Many of the volunteers were from other volunteer organizations, while others have loved ones buried in the cemetery.
According to organizers, the event had the most volunteers ever for the cemetery which was around 25-30 people. A follow-up event will soon be scheduled in the upcoming weeks. For more information about the cemetery, visit www.greenmeadowpa.org.
